Post-mortem to dictate course of investigation

A post mortem examination will be conducted at University Hospital Kerry

GARDAI in Killarney are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found in a house close to the town centre shortly after 10 o’clock last night.

The discovery was made at Torc Terrace, a small cluster of bungalows located adjacent to St Brendan’s Terrace, to the immediate rear of the scoreboard end of Fitzgerald Stadium.

The man, who is from Killarney and was aged in his early 50s, was living alone in the house.

The property was sealed off overnight while gardaí conducted a technical examination and the office of the state pathologist has been informed.

The man’s remains were recovered to University Hospital Kerry and a post-mortem examination will be conducted.

Gardaí say the results of that examination will determine the course of their investigation.
