You had a chance to vote for them or snub them last June but tomorrow will offer much more fun when the people of Killarney get an opportunity to soak their public representatives to the skin.
A number of local councillors have volunteered to be victims for a dreadful dunk tank experience and, for a small fee, the public can line up their pot shots and force them to sink or swim.
The Plunge for Palliative, in aid of the Kerry Hospice, will take place at the Beech Road car park at 4.00pm and if the parade is the highlight for some ,this will certainly be a whole lot more fun for many others.
The brave victims who are willing to get drenched for a good cause include Mayor of Killarney Cllr Maura Healy-Rae, Cllr Niall O’Callaghan, Cllr Martin Grady, Cllr Niall Kelleher and Cllr John O’Donoghue and others being lined up for a good soaking include DJs Brendan Fuller and Gavin O’Leary, St Brigid’s Secondary School principal Róisín Moore, GAA legend Louise Ni Mhuircheartaigh, Garda Gillian McEoin, businesswoman Grainne O’Sullivan and St Patrick’s Festival chairman Jason Clifford.
