PLANNING permission is being sought for the development of a crematorium in the parish of Gneeveguilla.
An application has been lodged with Kerry County Council for the development which is earmarked for a brown field site at Renasup.
It seeks approval to construct a crematorium with all associated site works, including the provision of a new water treatment system and the provision of parking facilities.
The application has been submitted by Funeral Gardens of England (Ireland) and the work would require the demolition of an existing house and out-buildings and the removal of a ditch and or entry and sight lines.
