Predictions for the year ahead in Kerry tourism and how the various markets are expected to perform were outlined at a briefing by Fáilte Ireland for local delegates at the Gleneagle INEC Arena on Thursday.
Hoteliers, guesthouse owners, tourist service providers, transport specialists and several others involved in the industry were brought bang up to date with current thinking by a number of expert industry professionals.
The Fáilte Ireland chiefs gave details on plans for the region this year, including new project developments, marketing campaigns and regional tourism strategies and they were on hand to offer expert advice and top tips to those in attendance.
There was a real feelgood factor in the room given the government’s decision to extend the nine per cent hospitality VAT rate to the end of August, given intensive industry and political lobbying.
