DEDICATED Killarney cyclists made their mark in no uncertain terms when they dominated round two of the keenly contested biking blitz in Ballyhoura.

Killarney Cycling Club riders competed in a number of categories and age groups despite stiff opposition from other clubs throughout the province and further afield.
At under 14 level Donagh O’Connor held an impressive lead throughout to take first place while Ben O’Keeffe battled it out at the end to take second, with David Butler fourth and Liam O’ Leary – in his first race – taking fifth.

Killarney again filled the podium in the under 16 category with Oscar McCarthy coming home in first place just ahead of clubmate Eoghan Crowley in second and Thomas O’Reilly in third.
Cuan O’Callaghan, also in the under 16 event, put in a fantastic ride to come in fifth.
In the junior category, Mark McGlynn had a very strong race and was in second place until he took a fall but recovered well and was just 20 seconds away from the podium with a fourth place finish.
