Popular Paudie Healy from Kilcummin is the new man overseeing the finances of the GAA in Kerry.
He was elected unopposed to the position as treasurer at the annual convention held in the Rose Hotel, Tralee.
Healy’s election was welcomed by delegates who hold the Kilcummin clubman in very high regard and he has proved a very welcome and energetic addition since he joined the board.

He succeeds Tom Keane of St Mary’s in Caherciveen who has been confirmed for the position of assistant treasurer.
All other outgoing officers were returned unopposed and ratified on the night with Eamon O’Sullivan of Castleisland Desmonds named the new Kerry GAA President in succession to the late Gerald McKenna.
O’Sullivan, a retired secondary school teacher, has been a magnificent volunteer with the GAA in Kerry for several years and was a highly efficient and respected public relations officer for many years, setting the standard for promoting the activities of the clubs and the games and building up a first class working relationship with the sporting press.
He also served as secretary of the county board, Munster Council delegate and chairman of the Games and Administration committee and is regarded as one of the most capable administrators in the GAA.
John O’Leary of Spa GAA Club has been reappointed planning and training officer and Áine Ní Shúilleabháin of Glenflesk GAA remains as children’s officer with Patrick O’Sullivan of Dr Crokes still steering the ship in his role as Kerry GAA chairman.
