Passing of Deerpark club president

The death has occurred in Killarney of Kay O’Sullivan who was the honorary president of Deerpark Pitch and Putt Club for many years.

From Dalton’s Avenue and originally from Timoleague in Co Cork, she passed away peacefully on Friday in the care of the staff of St Columbanus Nursing Home.

Kay was elected to the role of club president in 2001, having previously held numerous positions on the committee.

She also represented the club at county board level and she worked diligently and constantly to promote the Deerpark club.

A real dog lover, Kay loved nothing more than her daily visits to the clubhouse and the course with her two canine companions, Murph and Bran, by her side

Predeceased by her husband Michael, by her parents John and Mary Clifford, and her brothers and sisters, Kay is by her sister Nora (O’Regan), brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at O’Shea’s Funeral Home this Sunday from 4.30pm to 6.00pm will be followed by removal to St Mary’s Cathedral.

Requiem Mass will take place at 10.30am on Monday morning followed by burial afterwards in Aghadoe Cemetery.
