A VETERAN singer/songwriter is marking his landmark 70th birthday by releasing two new songs and one is all about Kerry.
Owen Moore, originally from Limerick and now living in the UK, will release The Town of Tralee and The Road Leading Home to add to nine albums under his belt and the new tracks will feature on his tenth release.
Talented Owen’s musical career spans more than five decades, starting back in the late 1960’s when he has performed his way in several countries in Europe, from bar-rooms to ballrooms and from club halls to concert halls.
The Covid-19 upheaval put paid to his travels earlier this year so he concentrated instead on creating new music.
His most recent album, New Songs In An Old Songbook, was released during the summer and the two new Owen Moore singles will be released this month.
The Road Leading Home is a bright, upbeat, country-style song, while The Town Of Tralee is a waltz, more folksy in style.
