
Cruising, chrome and cracking good weather, Ireland BikeFest held in Killarney on the June bank holiday weekend has been hailed overwhelming success.
Over 50,000 visitors passed through the purpose-built Bike Village at The Gleneagle Hotel making the 16th festival the biggest yet. Visitors travelled from as far afield as South Africa and the US as well as from right across the UK and mainland Europe.
“We are delighted to report that Ireland BikeFest 2024 was a resounding success,” said festival director Shane O’Driscoll.

“It contributed to a bumper weekend for the whole of Kerry and further afield.”
He extended thanks to all of the organisations, sponsors, suppliers, food vendors and volunteers for their support and hard work in custom-building the only festival of its kind in Ireland.
He had particular praise for Harley-Davidson UK and Ireland, Fáilte Ireland, The Gleneagle Hotel, Destination Killarney Ltd., Kerry County Council, Waterford Harley-Davidson, Dublin Harley-Davidson, Celtic Thunder Chapter Ireland, Gaelic Chapter Ireland, Belfast Chapter Northern Ireland, An Garda Síochána Killarney, Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce and all Killarney’s local businesses.”
Joy Quinn from county Galway was the lucky winner of the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind raffle to win a Harley-Davidson Sportster XL883C PRL.
Thanks to the big-hearted bikers and aspiring bikers who bought raffle tickets and made donations to support their work, they raised €21,000 which will go towards the training of of dogs.
