IT was a case of so near and yet so far with a Killarney EuroMillions player missing out on a whopping jackpot of €138 million by just one number but the consolation prize of a cool €333,913 was nothing to be scoffed at.
The National Lottery has urged local players to check their tickets after one lucky person scooped the Match 5 + Lucky Star prize in Tuesday night’s draw.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold at The Reeks Gateway on the Tralee Road.
The €333,913 winner came incredibly close to scooping the €138 million and just missed out by one lucky star which are numbered between 1-12.
The lucky numbers were 10, 13, 17, 21, 44 and the lucky stars were 1 and 10.
