Norita’s got a Lotto luck

Dr Crokes lotto Devane 1LUCKY Norita Devane can look forward to a happier Christmas than she could ever have imagined thanks to a stunning win in her local GAA club weekly Lotto.

She scooped a cool €12,600 when she hit the jackpot in the Black and Amber draw which she subscribes to on a very regular basis.

Delighted Norita, who works in Stonechat Café and Restaurant, couldn’t believe her luck when she was informed that her four chosen numbers – 3, 4, 13 and 17 – were plucked from the draw drum after the jackpot has rolled over for 33 weeks.

She bought her lucky ticket from Crokes diehard and the uncrowned king of the Lotto sellers John Lyne who, quite incredibly, has now sold a whopping 40 jackpot winning tickets since the club’s fundraising promotion commenced 20 years ago.

Norita has no immediate plans to splash the cash but she will ensure she has a great Christmas and she might raise a glass to the Crokes as she sits down to enjoy her festive banquet.

The picture shows Norita receiving her winning cheque from Diarmuid Kelleher (treasurer), John Lyne (seller), Malachy Walsh (treasurer) and Ger O’Shea (chairman).
