No Louise but Kerry ready for the Dubs

Kayleigh Cronin will line out at centre back

While much of the attention has been focused on the Kerry v Cork McGrath Cup final the day before, excitement is mounting ahead of the high-profile Ladies’ National League Division 1 opener between old rivals Kerry and Dublin the same day.

The game will be played at Parnell Park in Dublin with the throw-in timed for 5.15pm.

The big encounter will be screened live by TG4.

Kerry will be without 2023 player of the year Louise Ni Mhuircheartaigh but they will not be short of leaders on the field with Kayleigh Cronin at centre back, Anna Galvin of Southern Gales partnered by Amy Harrington off Inbhear Scéine Gaels at midfield and Killarney Legion’s Keri Ann Hanrahan coming into a quality forward line alongside captain Niamh Carmody of Finuge St Senans, Katie Brosnan of Firies and Emma Dineen of Glenflesk.
