A team led by local councillor Niall O’Callaghan triumphed in the annual Dr Crokes GAA Club golf classic played at Mahony’s Point.
Cllr Niall O’Callaghan inspired the Fáilte Hotel team to glory when he lined out alongside Conor Bohane, Daragh O’Callaghan and Brendan Falvey.
In second place was a team comprising Ann Courtney, Mary Treacy, Breda Duggan and Marie Chawke while third were Mary Geaney, Sinead Galvin, Sheila Crowley and Veronica O’Connor.
A team from the Lake Hotel, featuring Joe Sheehan, Niall Huggard, Alan Flynn and Eamon O’Sullivan, came home in fourth place and in fifth were the Randles Brothers team comprising Jerry Galvin, Bernie Galvin, Pat Buckley and Joan Buckley.
In sixth place were MC Construction led by Keith McMahon and featuring Stephen Broderick, Brian Horgan and Philip O’Connor while in seventh was the Gallivan Financial team of Vince Casey, Evy O’Brien, Colum O Brien and Denis Murphy.
