New roles for Declan and Liam

Killarney dentist Declan Fuller and financial advisor Liam McGuire have been appointed trustees of Killarney Rugby Football Club.

The vacancies arose following the recent death of former club president Seán O’Sullivan in addition to the decision of Dermot Walsh to step down.

Both former long-serving players with the club, Declan and Liam will now join two other former players, Paudie Sheahan and Eamonn O’Callaghan, as trustees.

They were proposed for the positions by club treasurer Mike Walker and seconded by youths officer Stephen O’Brien

At the club’s annual general meeting the following officers were elected for 2023/24:

  • Chair: Ger Moynihan
  • Hon Secretary: Gerard Sugrue
  • Treasurer: Mike Walker
  • Director of Rugby: Brian O’Leary
  • Club Captain: Darren Enright
  • Minis Coordinator: Dave Hickey
  • Youths Officer: Stephen O’Brien
  • Women’s Rugby Officer: Fiona Landers
  • PRO: Liam Murphy
  • Transition Officer: John O’Connell
  • Facilities Officer: Eamonn Maguire
  • Fundraising: Anthony Walsh
  • Data Officer: Tony Dunne
  • Ticketing Officer: Tom O’Leary
  • Committee member: Anne Gabbett
