The Glenflesk Community Defibrillator Group has installed a new AED at Spillane’s Post Office in Headford.
The device, which has the potential to save lives, was provided with the assistance of grant aid from the Kerry County Council Local Enhancement Scheme.
For those not familiar with the area, who may have a need to access the defibrillator, the Eircode is V93 CV44.
The Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable, simple to use, computerised device.
When someone suffers a sudden cardiac arrest, it delivers a shock to the heart to allow it to resume its normal rhythm.
