
THREE Kerry national schools have been given the green light to build extensions to their existing facilities, KillarmeyToday.com can confirm.
Faha National School is to receive grant aid for a new mainstream classroom with en suite toilet facilities as well as a new resource room.
Nagle Rice Primary School in Miltown has been approved for two new mainstream classrooms with en suite toilets and a user-assisted WC while Scoil Mhuire in Killorglin has been given the go ahead to develop two new classrooms.
Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Brendan Griffin, who informed KillarneyToday.com of the developments, remarked: “They are very progressive schools serving a very large part of Kerry. Their expansion is a testament to the excellent work being done there and I hope these schools will continue to go from strength to strength into the future.”
