Nature in the park provided a perfect playground

Many lifeforms were discovered, inspected and scrutinised at great lengths at Muckross Schoolhouse in Killlarney National Park during a fun-filled and informative nature camp.

Fascinated participants spent the day mammal trapping, bug hunting, inspecting under microscopes and enjoying nature themed games. At the event which was hosted by the Killarney National Park Education Centre.

The park is the greatest playground and classroom imaginable and the opportunities it presents on occasions like this have to be experienced to be believed.

Park staff were there to guide the children and their parents and to explain nature in its most glorious form.
