CHARITY champions – some of whom have been known to hold a note or two – will spearhead a lively barbeque action this June bank holiday Monday to raise funds for St Mary of the Angels in Beaufort.
The team at Scott’s Hotel, along with Denis Geaney’s Ring of Kerry Cycle Group, will fire up the charcoal and there will be music, song and laughter in Scott’s Courtyard for four hours from 2.00ppm.
Denis, founder of the Ring of Kerry Cycle, has once again mobilised a group of cyclists for the famous charity cycle and Team Geaney will host the fantastic fundraising afternoon of food and live entertainment.
There will be music from Michael O’Brien and band, Rosie and Derry Healy, Dermot Moriarty, Pete Fleming, Sam and Ina and more as well as a special guest appearance by comedian Bernard Casey.
The barbeque will cost €10 per person and organiser Denis Geaney said: “All of the money raised from the barbeque will go directly to St Mary of the Angels. That’s thanks to the generous support of the team at Scott’s Hotel, all the musicians and our many volunteers”.
