Muckross to set up text alert

garda badge pgA PUBLIC meeting to launch a text alert service in the Muckross area will be held at 8pm on Wednesday, February 1 in the Muckross Community Centre.

Muckross Community Association chairman, Liam Kelly, said text alert has proven to be a most effective and professional way to protect property.

“Each of us watches out for anything suspicious and the gardai then take whatever action is needed. We will sign up people for text alert at a cost of €10 at the public meeting,” he said.

“Every household in Muckross who wants to help protect their own place must be at the meeting,” he added.

Garda Superintendent Flor Murphy and Diarmuid Cronin of Community Alert will attend to answer any questions.
