A FOOTBALL tournament in honour of a famous part pupil turned into a traditional Kerry v Cork encounter when The Mon from Killarney and St Joseph’s School from the Mardyke in Cork city clashed in the final.
The annual Presentation Monastery Colm Cooper Tournament took place in Killarney with the Gooch himself – a former Mon boy – on hand to present the trophies to the winners.
Brilliant weather and a very high standard of football made it a great day with. Presentation Primary schools from Cork and Kerry involved in some fantastic games.
The Mon, Killarney and St Josephs made up the final pairing and a fantastic battle ensued with the Rebels coming out on top in the end.
Colm Cooper congratulated all teams for the standard of football throughout the day.
