NOT for the first time, the hugely consistent Mike ’Seve’ O’Leary stole the show at Deerpark Pitch and Putt Club at the weekend when he clinched the prestigious Captain’s Prize in impressive fashion.
A silver medal winner in the Special Olympics World Games Mike shot 90 to win skipper Aidan O’Keeffe’s prize following a day of intense competition out on the course.
Results: Overall Nett: Mike ‘Seve’ O’Leary 90; Overall Gross: Damien Fleming 98, Second Nett: Sean Ashe 94, Third Nett: James Fleming 95, Ladies Nett: Eileen Switzer 99, 18 Nett: David O’Donnell 44, 18 Gross: Sean Kelly 48.
The presentation of prizes will take place with Damien Fleming’s Chairman’s Prize on the weekend of September 22.
Meanwhile, in the Community Games, Deerpark member Robbie Harnett finished second overall at the national finals in Murroe, Co Limerick last Sunday.
