Mickey Harte to deliver key Lenten talk

Mickey Harte: GAA legend

His tactical astuteness on the sideline has broken Kerry hearts on more than one occasion but legendary GAA manager Mickey Harte will have a more acceptable plan in mind when he delivers a Lenten talk in Killarney this coming Wednesday night.

The venue is the Killarney Oaks Hotel at 7.30pm and admission to the eagerly anticipated event is free.

During his 18 years managing the Tyrone senior side, they won three All-Ireland titles, six Ulster championships and one National League crown and they were renowned for their no-nonsense approach and their sheer physical and mental qualities.

He is currently managing Louth who are flying high in Division 2 of the National League and in with a great chance of elevation to the top flight if they can get a result against Dublin in Croke Park next Sunday.

Harte’s autobiography is entitled Devotion and, when in Killarney, he will talk about importance of his faith which has helped him to cope with the joys and sorrows of life, in his family, in his days as a football manager and in his career as a teacher.
