A VERY popular personality in Kerry tourism and hospitality sectors, Mary Mulcahy, has retired after many years in the trade during which she earned a reputation for being a first class and highly skilled operator in a very busy industry.

After starting out her career in tourism with Aer Lingus, Mary joined the Killarney Hotels Collection as a senior receptionist in the Europe Hotel and Resort and progressed to become front office manager in its sister business The Dunloe Hotel and Gardens.

Mary then moved to another hotel in the group, Ard na Sidhe Country House, to assist with the daily running of the business with her good friend and hotel manager, Debbie Brosnan.

Although sorry to see her step out of the limelight, this week Mary’s colleagues organised a special presentation to say goodbye as well as raising a toast to her retirement.

“Mary has been a wonderful asset to Killarney Hotels Collection over the years and was loved by her colleagues and customers alike,” said the Managing Director of the Killarney Hotels Collection, Michael Brennan.

“She is going to be missed by the whole team and we wish her the very best on her retirement,” he added.
