A LONG serving member of staff at the Malton Hotel in Killarney was honoured with the employee of the year award by management at the annual company prizegiving ceremony this week.
A delighted Martina O’Leary, who works in the hotel’s Punchbowl Bar, was feted by her colleagues and she didn’t have to travel far to accept the award as the ceremony was held in the Malton’s sister hotel, the Killarney Royal, just across the road.
She was presented with the prize by proprietor Joe Scally and deputy general manager Sinead Marron.
Meanwhile, popular bar manager Michael Hussey – another staff member who has worked in the hotel for several years – brought home the staff manager of the year award.
