HAVING had to contend with power cuts on three separate days last week, the parish of Fossa has been left without a water supply this Sunday as a result of a major fault.
Kerry County Council confirmed that the problem was a significant break in the water mains between Foley’s Spar supermarket at Gortroe and Killarney Riding Stables in Ballydowney.
A hotel and a number of guesthouses have been left without water but efforts are being made to repair the break and restore supply.
Irish Water and Kerry County Council are currently working to resolve the matter and the supply should be restored later tonight.
