Magic at the Brehon as Santa lights up giant tree

It’s one of the most spectacular Christmas trees in Killarney every December and this year is no exception as the lighting of the feature tree in the Brehon Hotel drew gasps of admiration from all in attendance and left wide-eyed children even more excited than they had been beforehand.

The illumination of the towering indoor tree signals the start of Christmas festivities for many families in Killarney and guests were treated to mulled wine, hot chocolate and, of course, a visit from Santa Claus who came bearing gifts.

Adding a real touch of festive season magic, carol singers from St Brigid’s Presentation Secondary School, with musical director Rosie Healy, entertained all with some great seasonal favourites.

All proceeds from the day’s donations were in aid of St Mary of the Angels in Beaufort.
