LUCKY Ann Courtney is on her way to see Killarney Musical Society’s all-singing, all-dancing production of Sweet Charity in the coming days.
She was the lucky winner of a KillarneyToday.com competition which had two tickets for Thursday night’s show as the prize,.
Entries were received from all over the country but Ann, from Glenflesk, was the name randomly selected.
Congratulations Ann – a representative of the Killarney Musical Society will be in touch with all the details.
The eagerly-awaited 33rd production will open in the INEC with a special matinee performance on Wednesday and there will be big shows that night, on Thursday and on Friday.
Sweet Charity follows the romantic trials and tribulations of a girl who wanted to be loved, Charity Hope Valentine, played by Lily MacMonagle.
Charity is a dance partner-for-hire in New York City and though the job might not be what it could be, her great sense of romance and optimism lift her out of her circumstances but her life changes when she meets neurotic, shy actuary Oscar, played by Rory Ward.
The audience will be singing along to all the big numbers including Big Spender, If My Friends Could See Me Now, There’s Gotta Be Something Better Than This, I’m a Brass Band and Baby, Dream Your Dream.
