DR Crokes supporters face a four-hour 260km round trip to cheer on the black and amber in their Munster Club Senior Football Championship opener against Tipperary champions Moyle Rovers.
The Munster Council has scheduled the fixture for Ardfinnan GAA Grounds at 1.30pm on Sunday with James Bermingham of Cork taking charge of the encounter.
Pat O’Shea’s side would have preferred another week to prepare for the big game as they have only days to recover from their exertions in last Sunday’s physically demanding Kerry SFC decider against Dingle.
Former Tipperary captain and 2016 All-Star Peter Acheson is not expected to be available to Moyle Rovers for Sunday’s clash he has returned to his base in Dubai after Sunday’s final win over Ardfinnan.
