A MEMORIAL fun walk in memory of a much-loved local man is being organised in Kilcummin for the second year running.
Locals will gather to participate in the tribute to Brendan O’Leary of Lyreatough and the event will be held on Sunday, February 17. Registration will commence at 1.30pm and the walk will get underway at 2.00pm.
All funds raised on the day will go to the palliative care unit in University Hospital Kerry. The entry fee is €10 and under 16s can participate free of charge.
The event is being organised by Una O’Leary and the starting point will be the yard of her home in Lyreatough. In keeping with the fun theme, there will be refreshments, spot prizes and a bumper raffle afterwards.
Last year the inaugural Brendan O’Leary Fun Walk raised a very impressive €3,500 for the cause.
