Local experts plan bright future for tourism

Fáilte Ireland has initiated an innovative new campaign aimed at developing a new network of local tourism and hospitality experts in Tralee.

The Local Experts Programme was established to support those involved in the tourism sector and the local community to share useful information with visitors to Tralee and north Kerry.

It is hoped that it will help the area to make more of a mark as a visitor destination like neighbouring Killarney and south Kerry.

The aim is to ensure visitors will have far richer experiences, potentially stay longer, tell others about their trip and so local businesses will benefit financially.

Ultimately it’s about helping our visitors make informed choices to ensure they get the very most from their holiday

Fáilte Ireland experts met with local tourist service providers at a special workshop held in the Ballygarry Estate Hotel and Spa and top tips were shared and a plan for the future was launched at an informative workshop.
