AN accomplished artist who had been based in Killarney for many years has opted to pursue a more tranquil life, away from the cut and thrust of urban living, by moving to remote Sherkin Island, off Baltimore.

Tina Reed and her husband Pat Rodgers swapped the Paps of Anú mountains in Kerry for island life at sea level in West Cork and they are thoroughly enjoying the whole experience.

Both are passionate outdoor adventure lover and mountain runners and their new location is ideal for the pursuits they enjoy.

Pat has already circumnavigated the island of Ireland in 30 days and has now just taken over H20 Sea Kayaking, running tours and courses from Sherkin Island.
