There has been a welcome for the speedy response by Kerry County Council to a request for line painting be carried out at Lissivigeen Roundabout to ensure drivers know the correct lane to use.
Cllr Michael Cahill said he had received a number of messages from people travelling to and from Killarney to Glenflesk, Rathmore, Gneeveguilla and other areas, saying that the faded lane identity lines were confusing some drivers.

“It was causing sudden and dangerous lane changes. I brought the issue to Kerry County Council who advise that the lines have now been repainted,” said the Fianna Fáil general election candidate who commended the local authority on its fast and efficient response.
“This is an extremely busy junction which also has a national school close by and all safety measures are highly important,” said Cllr Cahill.
