Liebherr launches its 2025 scholarship programme

Killarney’s Liebherr Container Cranes has announced the launch of its 2025 scholarship programme, reaffirming its commitment to fostering future leaders in engineering, IT, and automation.

Now in its seventh year, this initiative provides an incredible opportunity for ambitious students to gain a high-quality education while benefiting from real-world industry experience.

The scholarship offers full tuition coverage for the duration of a student’s degree, alongside hands-on learning through summer work placements and college internships at Liebherr’s state-of-the-art facility in Killarney.

Graduates of the programme will have the opportunity to continue their careers with Liebherr, working on innovative projects that shape the future of crane technology and automation.

Qualifying degree courses for the scholarship include mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, structural engineering, mechatronics, automation, business information systems, computer science, software development and data analytics.

Successful scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to work on innovative technology projects at Liebherr, contributing to advancements in the ever-changing industry. They will gain invaluable practical experience, working alongside Liebherr’s expert engineers and IT professionals on cutting-edge technological advancements in the industry.

Interested candidates should apply by email to scholarshiprecruit.lcc@liebherr.com . Applicants should include a CV detailing Leaving Certificate or Junior Certificate or college projects and/or results and a cover letter explaining why they have chosen Engineering/Computer Science as a career path.

In the case of Leaving Certificate applicants, a copy of the completed CAO form showing their choice of engineering/computer science course should be included. The closing date is the 30th May 2025.
