It may have been raining but the style shone brightly on the fifth day of the Listowel Harvest Racing Festival as sharply-dressed men from all over the country competed to win the prestigious title of the best dressed male.
Judged by Killarney councillor Niall O’Callaghan, the race was on as men of all ages in very dapper attire jockeyed for position to win a prize fund valued at €2,000.

After much deliberation, Liam O’Neill from Dingle, one of Ireland’s foremost contemporary artists, was declared the overall winner alright and crowned as the best dressed for 2024. Liam won a bespoke suit from Ryle Menswear valued at €1,500.
The joint runners-up were Raymond Gilbourne from Limerick and Paudie Horgan from Listowel, who each received a suit from top menswear label Benetti.
In addition, Micheal Moran, owner of Ryle Menswear, also sponsored 200 gift bags, each containing a designer tie and socks, for those participating in an extraordinarily successful event at Listowel Races.
