THE fastest fingers in the world and, perhaps, the most iconic voice in the country are to share a stage in Killarney.
Gifted multi-instrumentalist Liam O’Connor will join forces with brilliant Aslan frontman Christy Dignam for a special one-off concert to raise funds for St Brendan’s College in Killarney.
They will perform in the college chapel on Thursday, April 19 and they will be joined by the St Brendan’s College choir and music group who will add their own special touches to the performance.
Another big attraction on the night will be former Muster and Ireland rugby star Mick Galwey who will be the guest speaker for the occasion.
O’Connor, who can play several instruments but is best known as an accordion player, has the proud record of having the fastest fingers record in the Guinness Book of Records.
57-year-old Dignam, meanwhile, is one of the country’s premier rock stars and his smash hits, Crazy World and This Is are two of the great Irish rock anthems.
Full details are available from the college office on 064-6631021.
