Two secondary school students from Killarney have exhibited their project at the 2025 Certified Irish Angus Schools Competition.
The event, held in Croke Park, was supported by ABP and Kepak, and it challenged students nationwide to rear five Irish Angus calves and learn about the care and attention required to produce quality beef for consumers.
Liadan Coleman and Sinead O’Leary from St Brigid’s Presentation Secondary School in Killarney hugely impressed everybody with the quality of their project and the great research they put into it.
Five out of the 46 exhibiting schools that best demonstrate an understanding of the project along with innovative ideas will be presented with Irish Angus calves at the National Ploughing Championships in September 2025.
