Let the games commence at Aghadoe

Ready for action: The club’s under 18.5 squad and mentors prepare for the season ahead

THE new rugby season is underway and Killarney Rugby Club’s squads of all ages have returned to training and are preparing for the rigours of the long season ahead.

The pitches at the club base in Aghadoe are in an amazing condition, especially given the recent heavy rain.

Club PRO Liam Murphy said there was a fantastic turnout at all ages and boys and girls born between 2008 and 2014 are more than welcome to go along and give it a try.

“We had an amazing turnout with very strong numbers in teams training at under 14, under 16 and under 18.5 which means that we will be able to field an under 18.5 team this year for the first time in a while,” he said.

Under 14 training continues every Wednesday at 7.00pm, while under 16 and under 18.5 training continues every Thursday evening at 7.30pm

The club’s seniors will host thee Moss Keane trophy competition this Saturday with the Kerry clubs vying for this prestigious title at Aghadoe.
