Following their deserved lap of honour, newly crowned East Kerry Senior Football Champions Dr Crokes are to hold what is being described as a lap of light to remember loved ones this Christmas.
It will take place at the club grounds on Lewis Road this Saturday, December 23, from 4.30pm to 5.30pm and everyone is welcome.
There will be a five-minute reflection led by club stalwarts Fr Tom Looney and Fr Paddy O’Donoghue and one minute of silence in memory of those who have passed on.
Members will also be invited to enjoy laps of the walking track at the grounds which will be candlelit but that is entirely optional.
Those attending are being encouraged to dress up in Christmas or club colours and to bring a torch and a hi-viz jacket.
There will be complimentary tea or coffee and a friendly chat awaiting at the clubhouse.
