THE recent impressive form by Killarney’s Scott’s Lakers continued on the road on Saturday night when Cormac O’Donoghue’s side registered an excellent 81-75 victory against Sligo All-Stars.
It was a pretty impressive performance made all the more noteworthy by the fact that Lakers had to line out without the services of big Padraig Lucey and the hardworking Justin Tuason who has a broken hand.
Antuan Bootle top scored for Scott’s Lakers with a 21-point haul and others to impress were Dalian Mason (15), Andrew Fitzgerald (13) and Mark Greene (13) while Sligo’s big hitters were Mark Chambers (20), Eric Kittel (19) and Tobi Brockmann (13).
Lakers still top Division 1B of the NBL with three games left to play. They are at home to LYIT of Donegal next Saturday night, they follow that with an away fixture against Dublin Lions and their final group fixture is at home to Kilkenny.
