It has been a busy and successful week for Scotts Lakers St Pauls, on and off the court, and Enda Walshe looks forward to another big outing in Limerick this Monday afternoon
Scotts Lakers head to the University of Limerick Arena this bank holiday Monday after a good week on and off the court.
They edged a tight and hugely entertaining local derby game against Cougars on Saturday night and earlier in the week they learned that they had awarded the abandoned Waterford Vikings fixture on a 20-0 scoreline. And that all means they are right in the conversation at the top of the league table.

It has also been a satisfactory week for Darnell Snyers and Abdul Oladipupo as they seem to have settled nicely into the squad. Snyers brings a pace to the point guard position while Oladipupo offers versatility in both defence and offence.
One man with his feet firmly under the table is Mikah Blackwell who led the scoring on Saturday night and the trio provide a very solid foundation to the squad.
Captain Rui Saravia battled manfully against the Cougars while coach Ron Howard has expressed his delight at the progress of the local contingent.
Heading that charge are Eoin Carroll and Mark Sheehan whose points per game averages are both in double digits with the former pulling down ten boards in each outing.

Jack O’Sullivan has returned from injury and will be looking to lift off while it’s only a matter of time before Jamie O’Sullivan lights up. Oisin Spring is an example to the likes of Shane Daly, John Hughes and Darragh O’Callaghan that perseverance pays off.
The Eagles have made an indifferent start to the season but are always seen as a contender in the league. They went down to Moycullen by seven points on the opening day while the league’s in-form team, Titans, were successful on their trip to UL.
They managed to get the better of the Tipp Talons but will, no doubt, be hugely disappointed by their performance in the Limerick derby on Saturday night.
Daniel Shahab, AJ Ryan and Ignacio Folguerias are tried and trusted at this level while the imposing Ronan Cregan is a handful for any side.
Alexander Carlisle has still managed to average 27 points per game despite their inconsistent start. No doubt reeling from the Celtics defeat the Lakers will have to be wary of the wounded animal.
Tip-off today in the UL Arena is 3.30pm.
