STYLISH Elaine Kelleher from Kilgarvan had heads turning at an evening of high-end fashion.
And, most importantly, she caught the eye of the adjudicators who chose her as the best-dressed guest at the glamorous event.
Elegant Elaine was a show-stopping lady in red in a scarlet, tailored dress with matching accessories and it earned her best-dressed lady award, sponsored by Sean Taaffe Hair and Beauty.
The occasion was a salon styled show, highlighting the beauty, versatility and traditions of lace, which attracted a full house to the five-star Park Hotel, Kenmare.
The event opened with award-winning Irish fashion designer Helen Cody’s new collection and the show also featured lace inspired creations by Tina Griffin, Alice Halliday, Neidin Hats, the National Tailoring Academy and Delphine Grandjouan as well as top boutiques of the calibre of MacBees of Killarney, Annburys, White Willow, Simplicity, Nest, The White Room and O-Sullivan-Ford.
The fashion show was part of the comprehensive programme for the four-day Kenmare Lace Festival.
One of the highlights of the evening was the official announcement of the winners of the Kenmare Lace Festival student competition, in association with the National Tailoring Academy, and the winner was Evelina Cecekova, who won a week-long tailoring course and €500 cash. The first runner up was Aimé Ann-Maria O’Shea, who won a tailoring course at the National Tailoring Academy and €200 cash.
