A YOUNG Killarney soccer star is being closely monitored by a top Premiership club and he has already travelled to England for trials.
If all goes according to plan Daniel Okwute could be joining Wayne Rooney’s Everton after impressing scouts and attending intensive trials at Goodison Park.
The super talented Killarney Celtic star was assessed by Ronald Koeman’s management team and he lined out for the club against Middlesbrough in an under 16 game.
Daniel, a student at Killarney Community College, was one of the stars on the Kerry side that competed in this year’s Kennedy Cup inter-count tournament.
He was accompanied to Goodison Park by Celtic officials Mike Lyne and Sean Burchill travelled over the weekend to Everton for a trial.
