PUPILS of the Holy Cross Mercy primary school in Killarney have sent a powerful and moving message of hope and thanks to the health workers on the frontline who are working tirelessly to help Covid-19 sufferers.
Under the guidance of teacher Rhonda Healy, they recorded short video clips on the phones and on other forms of social media and they have been collated by the teacher as a positive message to send to the health care staff.
The pupils also made posters and cards to wish the workers well and to show that they appreciate all they are doing for those most in need at the most difficult time in the country’s history.
“Many people dream of becoming superheroes when they grow up. But we know the real superheroes in our community are the frontline staff,” the pupils said in a message.
And their main message? The less we get together, the safer we’ll be.
