KERRY’s ladies will be hoping their plan to return to the top flight of the National League will get off to a winning start when they face Cavan in Denn Gas, Crosskeys at noon this Sunday.
The team, jointly managed by Declan Quill and Darragh Long, will put last season’s Division 2 final loss behind them as they make an all-out effort to make their mark in a very competitive second tier.
Now without last year’s inspirational captain Amanda Brosnan and the brilliant Sarah Houlihan, who have retired, the team selected for the Cavan game still has a good mix of experience and youth and Kerry will be looking to the likes of Fiadgha Tangney, Hannah O’Donoghue and the excellent Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh to get the vital scores that will make the difference.
