A SPORTS competition primary school children, which will be a qualifier for the county finals, will be held in the grounds of Killarney Community College on Tuesday next, May 23 (6.00pm).
Killarney Valley AC will host the event which is being held in Killarney due to the temporary closure of the An Ríocht track in Castleisland. The date for the county primary school sports, which will take place in An Riocht, has been put back to Saturday, June 10.
The first three athletes in events, which will cater for pupils from first class to sixth, will qualify for the county finals along with the winning relay team from each race.
There will be no restrictions on the number of children that can compete on the night but if a child should qualify in one event for their class they may not take part in any other individual competition for that particular class, with the exception of the relay.
The entry fee on the night in €2 per child.
