Killarney Swimming Club members Ella Cremin and Shane Tomlinson will be hoping to make a big splash when they compete the Irish Summer National Age Group Championships taking place at the UL Arena in Limerick this weekend.

Two more members, Emily Brosnan and Ian Coffey, also qualified for the big event.

Ella and Shane will take on the best in their age group in the country and they have trained extremely hard all year, including an intensive month of collaborative training with Kingdom Swimming Club in Tralee to prepare for competition.

Killarney head coach, Erin McNulty, has been leading the collaborative training alongside Tralee’s Ger McDonnell.

It is a phenomenal opportunity for two Kerry teams and coaches to join forces, share resources and train together.

“I am incredibly proud of the work our swimmers have put in. They have dedicated their summers to this competition and I have no doubt they will perform well,” said Erin.
