
Killarney Swimming Club made quite a splash at the three-day Aspiring Champions Gala in the University of Limerick the long weekend.
The club had 29 swimmers competing and the meet was a huge success for Killarney representatives.
Many competitors obtained personal bests but the event 3was a remarkable personal triumph for talented Evan O’Donoghue who brought home no less than five medals

He was first in the 50 fly, second in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke and third in both the 200IM, 50 freestyle.
To cap a fine weekend for the club, Ella Cremin came third in the breaststroke.
This was a long course competition (50M pool) and a number of Killarney club members qualified to swim at the summer nationals in July.
Those that made the mark were Cathal Mackey, Ella Cremin, Sarah Quirke and Evan O’Donoghue.
