Killarney Badminton Club representatives competed in Divisions one, three and five of the Kerry Singles Championship finals in Tralee.
They were involved in some epic competitive games but they lost out in the Division 1 and Division 3 finals after hard-fought encounters involving Rahad Rahman and Sinead Galvin.
At Cappoquin, Co Waterford, meanwhile, a number of Killarney players represented Kerry in the Munster inter-counties event.

With four teams competing it was a long day and Kerry ended up with silver medals on the day, narrowly losing out to Cork but well done to Jennifer Keane, Niamh Hickey and Sinead Galvin.
The juvenile competition championships also took place with notable performances for the Killarney club on the day.
Conall Murphy (Killarney) and Dylan Walsh (Listowel) were runners-up in the Under 16 shootout, Oscar O’Sullivan and Michael McElliogtt (Killarney) were the Under 16 Plate winners and Rosabelle O’Donoghue was the runner-up in the Under 12 competition.
This coming Sunday Sinead Galvin will compete in the Irish National Masters in Baldoyle, Dublin.
