Ireland’s premiere music conference, held in the Gleneagle INEC Arena n Killarney and featuring over 100 artist showcases, has been described as “a resounding success”.
Charlene Sloan, co-founder and executive director of the Your Roots Are Showing event said the INEC was at full capacity for the Folk in Fusion concert with acts from across the globe.
“Our partnerships with organisations like American Songwriter and IBMA continue to elevate the conference, creating meaningful opportunities for artists and industry professionals. Presenting Peter Rowan with our inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award was a true highlight, celebrating his immense contribution to folk and bluegrass music,” Charlene said.
“To see Your Roots Are Showing grow into a sold-out event is incredibly rewarding,” he added.

This year’s line-up brought together incredible talent, both emerging and established, showcasing the richness of folk traditions worldwide
Stars that packed the venue included 14-time Grammywinner Ron Block, Pulitzer Prizer recipient Rhiannon Giddens, Sandy Kelly, Brendan McCreanor, Gerry O’Connor and Liam Ó Maonlaí.
The growth Your Roots Are Showing has seen in its three-year journey is reflected by a move to a new, bigger venue to accommodate the increase in industry attendees, media, exhibitors, artists and music lovers in general.
“The expanded international presence this year saw bands from 14 countries, including Guyana, Australia, Canada, the USA, Spain, the UK and Ireland participating.
“We were thrilled to host this year’s conference in Killarney, one of Ireland’s most famous and scenic destinations and the proximity to Gleneagle INEC Arena was part of our draw to this venue,” said Charlene Sloan.
