The Kerry Camogie County Féile tournament saw Killarney’s under 15s playing Abbeykillix on the Cillard and Tralee Parnells and Ballyduff over three days of action.
Killarney’s final two round robin games were against Causeway and Sliabh Luachra and, having clinched fifth position, the club qualified for the Division 2 final without having to play a semi-final with Abbeykillix again providing the opposition.

The final, held on Monday in Spa, saw Killarney take control with a well-taken goal and some timely points by the break but the second half was a closely contested battle, with Abbeykillix scoring a fabulous point from a 45.
Coached by Gerard Breen, Padraig Griffin and Kate Lynch, Killarney rallied, however, and finished the strongest and they were thrilled to win the shield after a very tough contest.
County Board Secretary Elaine Murphy and Kerry National League winner Kate Lynch presented the shield to the team and, in return, they were both presented with gifts as an appreciation of the great achievement the Kerry senior camogie team the day before in Croke Park.
Killarney will now advance to the regional Féile finals which take place on June 24 in Carlow.
